What is Naviance?
Naviance is a web-based planning and advising system. Students, parents, and counselors can use it to manage and track all aspects of the college admissions process. It provides valuable insight into the college admissions by displaying historical scholarship information and college application statistics from your school. It can be used to search colleges and scholarships based on students’ personal data.
What is Family Connection?
Family Connection is the module in Naviance students and their families use to access college searches, scholarship information, Myers Park student data base and more.
How do I logon to Naviance?
Use the Naviance link on the Myers Park PTSA website or enter www.connection.Naviance.com/myerspark
Click “I need to register” and use the registration code provided to your student. You can change your password by choosing “account” under the “about me” tab.
I can’t find my registration code.

Who will see the data I enter?
Only Myers Park Guidance Staff will have access to personal student data. Anonymous data on college acceptances and denials will be available to all Myers Park users.
I am not planning to attend college, why should I use Naviance?
Counselors will use information in Naviance to help students with a post-high school plan. Naviance can connect students with 4 year, 2 year, and technical colleges.
Where can I find GPA and class rank on Naviance?
Choose the “about me” tab, click on “profile” and scroll down to “Academic Information”.
There is no class rank listed for my Freshman or Sophomore.
Class Rank is not computed until the end of first semester Junior year.
How do I contact my counselor through Naviance?
On the opening (home) page, click on “contact us”.

- “profile” to enter contact information such as student cell number and email address
- “resume” to begin listing activities;
- “game plan” to help define post-graduate goals and identify the college that is right for you
- favorite colleges” to enter schools under consideration

- “college search” to narrow your choices
- “scattergram” to see where other Myers Park students have applied
I am a senior. How can I use Naviance?
Choose the “about me” tab and click:
- “senior profile” and complete each question
Choose the “colleges” tab and click:
- “colleges I’m thinking about:” to add colleges and see application deadlines
- ‘resources” and “transcripts” to request a transcript
