AG/AP
Course of Study
Myers Park
offers a strong honors and AP course of study.
Honors
courses offer the most advanced level of the standard curriculum. Instruction
is rigorous and requires a high level of student responsibility. Honors courses
are offered in English, Math, Social Studies, and Science in 9th and 10th
grade. Advanced level courses are offered all 4 years and continue the honors
level of study in the 11th and 12th grade.
Advanced
Placement courses are college freshman-level courses, administered and
regulated by the National College Board organization. Most colleges and universities
in the United States recognize these courses, allowing students to earn college
credit while still in high school. AP classes are open to all juniors and
seniors.
